Hello
Friends & Family,
We
are Tom & Sandy Taggart, the Region D Directors. Many of you already know us
as we were the Ohio Senior District Directors from 1998 thru
2004. For those of you that don't, we'll give you a
little information about ourselves.
As
of October 26, we celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary.
We have three children and five grandchildren. Our oldest
son, Tom, Jr. and his wife Angie have two children Ashley &
Thomas. Todd and his wife Sheila are the parents of
Patrick, Allison & Emily. Our daughter, Shannon was
married to her best friend, Kyle on November 20, 2004.
We
have been members of GWRRA since March of 1987. becoming
charter members of Chapter X. As that Chapter was
formed, I became the Safety Coordinator which now is called
Rider Education. From that point, I became the Assistant
Area Representative and then the Area Representative. For
our newest members, the office has now been re-named the
Chapter Director.
In
1992, I took on the role of Assistant District Director
and held that position for six years before being named the
District Director and holding that position for six years.
We
are so excited about our appointment, as we hope to
meet many more friends along the way. We have been making
some new plans for the coming year, so please join us as we
begin this step in our journey. Sandy & I have
supported this organization wholeheartedly since the beginning,
but most of all, we cherish the friendships that we have
made.
