We are Tim & Pam Hanson from Canton Michigan. We have been married for over 21 years. We met in a bowling alley in Westland. I have 3 daughters and Pam has a son. We were both born and raised in Michigan. The only time that I lived out of the state is when I was in the army in the mid 70’s.  We have two cats, Sassy & Missy, who share their home with us. I retired from AT&T in 2008 and Pam has worked for a small beauty supply company for 21 years.

We joined GWRRA in August 2003. Little did we know at that time that there was so much more to do in the organization that just ride. Within the chapters that we have been members of, we have been the Goodies people, MAD coordinators, 50/50 and currently MED coordinators and in charge of bike raffle ticket sales. We are proud to say that we are charter members of Chapter W2 in Wayne Michigan. In December of 08, we were selected as the first ever Couple of the Year for the chapter.

We consider it to be an honor and a privilege to be selected as the Michigan District Couple of the Year. As we embark on our journey this next year, our first objective will be to try and get the enthusiasm back in the COY program and to get more participation next year. We are also looking forward to meeting the other District couples and visiting their rally’s.

Thanks again to our chapter and Michigan for giving us this opportunity to represent them as their District Couple of the Year. Watch out for us, we’ll be the ones having fun.
