We are Kirby and Sandy White from
Chapter S located in Fremont, Ohio. High School is where
we first met. After graduation I went into the Air
Force and traveled thru 37 different countries. In 1974
we got reacquainted and married. We have been married
36 years this June and have 3 children and 10
grandchildren. I retired from Chrysler in 1997 and
shortly afterwards started working construction. Sandy
is still a domestic engineer.
We joined GWRRA in 1986 and are
charter members of our Chapter. The different positions
we have held are Ways & Means, PR, Asst. Area Rep, Area
Rep, Chapter Director, Asst. District Directors,
Newsletter Editor ,COY’s and now we are MEC, and
Treasurer. We have helped with Mall Shows, Poker Runs,
Teddy Bear Runs, Campouts, Nursing Home Rides, Hosted a
District Rally, and many other Chapter activities. We
ride a 1991 1500, and a 2005 1800.
We hope to visit as many chapters
in Ohio and encourage their couples to compete, and
enjoy the friendship you develop with the other COY’s .
We both are looking forward to meeting and talking with
the other District COY’s and having fun at all the
upcoming events. We were honored to be chosen Ohio
District Couple of the Year, and very proud to
represent the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.
