-
There must be at least five members
of a Chapter present to be eligible to capture the Traveling
Plaque. They must be wearing Chapter Shirts or Chapter Vest or both
and have traveled a minimum of fifty miles.
-
If more than one Chapter from the
District shows up to capture the plaque, then it will go to the
Chapter that has traveled the farthest distance.
-
Out-of-District Chapters will always
take precedence over Chapters located within the state, regardless
of the miles traveled. If more than one Out-of-District Chapter
comes to claim the Region Plaque, then the one that has traveled the
longest distance will take the plaque home.
-
As soon as the Plaque has been
captured, the gaining Chapter Director or their designee must
contact Roger and Dee Miller, Region D MED Coordinators. Tell them
where the plaque is, meeting details, and name and phone number of
whom to contact for further information. Roger and Dee will then
post the location of the Plaque on the Region Web Page or they can
be contacted at
Rogermagic@comcast.net or (269)
665-9038 for the location of the Plaque.
-
Once a Chapter has captured the
plaque, it must allow at least two other Chapters to capture the
plaque before they can once again claim possession.
-
It will be the responsibility of the
Chapter Director to ensure that the Traveling Plaque is at every
Chapter function while in their possession, not just Chapter
meetings.
-
The Chapter Director will have the
next plate in sequence engraved showing the capturing Chapter, miles
traveled, Chapter received from, and the date of capture. If
desired, the plate may be sent with the above information and a
stamped self-addressed envelope to Jim Hodges, 3805 Boxelder Drive,
Brecksville, Ohio, 44141. He will engrave the plate and return it
at no charge.
-
There will be a drawing for $100 at
the end of the year. Each time a Chapter has captured the Region D
Traveling Plaque, the Chapter’s name will be entered into the
drawing.
Note: The
intent of this plaque is to encourage Chapter visitations and travel
between Districts within Great Lakes Region D. Have fun on your
travels! |
