Marisa Mellett is a fantastic Physician Liaison who also has a background in Marketing. She has a powerful talent for connecting with people and managing tasks. It seems like these are her superpowers. After getting her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree, she worked as a Registered Behavior Technician right away. The first was with Pinecone Therapies at Southlake, Texas, from June 2017 to June 2018. The second was with Action Behavior Centers at Austin, Texas, from June 2018 to January 2019. She then became a talented Marketing Assistant with the same company, where she grew and learned tons of things.
How Being a Marketing Assistant Shaped Her
Being a Marketing Assistant proved to be a demanding role. She was tasked to handle many things, some of which Marisa wasn’t trained to do. But after a few months, she became a pro at her job. Marisa even worked closely with the VP-Marketing to expand the physician relationships across all regions! But first, she had to overcome being an assistant by assisting the Office Administrator. Marisa had to handle the new client application process, scheduling, inbound leads, and many more. There were many other marketing assistant tasks that she had to face alone. But it helped mold her into who she is right now. It was a challenging eight months for her, but it proved useful when she became a Physician Liaison.
Marisa’s True Calling as a Physician Liaison in Texas
Marisa realized that being a Physician Outreach Specialist was what she was born for. After her job as a Marketing Assistant, her energetic and enthusiastic personality was a perfect mix for Physician Liaisons. She pulled children on the Autism Spectrum towards her, which made them love her even more. Aside from that, her current role demands her to focus on Action Behavior Center’s growth and expansion across the North Austin region to provide top-notch service. Marisa is excellent when it comes to marketing, so she solely takes care of managing marketing materials to be distributed across the region. Her wonderful personality is engaging. And that’s how she manages to work with more than 100 health care providers to educate and inform them about early intervention, ASD, and ABC’s services.
Marisa is a great organizer because of her ability to create and execute staff retention plans for all company employees and organize events for over 200 employees. Honestly, she is equivalent to Wonder Woman.
